Thanksgiving and Conscience

Thanksgiving, this vital holiday that seems so connected to the goodness that is in our Nation's soul, is the aspiration, the attempt, through gratitude, through  a community that may not be perfect to celebrate these moments of Life and the slender threads that keep us alive and in well being. 

   The last 3 pages of these 8 excerpts have now turned the page and the small peace that our European Ancestors carved out with the Native Americans in New England that had basically held for almost 54 years was about to disintegrate. 1621 to 1674(?) .... 

   The whitewash of American History has been swept away. The brutal history is revealed day after day, it is not at all a proud picture this story of European Conquest across the globe, yet within this mess of destruction a mix of greed, fear, and domination is the greater push that has been mankind battle from the beginning. Not a battle of race versus race but the inner battle within any race, within any tribe, within any family. How does the connection of all Life, gain traction. Does anyone think that 1621 is really over in 2019 soon to be 2020? Does anyone really believe that if we condemn with enough passion the misdeeds of anyones' ancestors that they will displace the challenge that faces us today. 

   Is there any doubt that this Planet is in a severe crisis brought on by the 'success' of this global human civilization. That this crisis is as much of European Domination which another translation of that might be the People with the greater Power of Violence, this crisis is still the crux of our existence to this day. That we are ruled by people with greed fear and domination whose ultimate belief that we can manipulate 'Life, Nature .. other People' to gain profit is still the dominant paradigm.
   Got to break through and end the war against : '... the Other' .. the Savage.. the Deplorable.. the Liberal .. the Democrat... The Conservative ... ... Nature and Life itself.  The mystery keeps unfolding.

  A friend tells me today... 'The Liberals aren't Liberal and the Conservatives aren't Conservative.'
