Hey there beautiful Chelsea and Elena visiting from San Diego at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival. This was the only real photo moment for me on that Friday. There is Love in the Universe people and it's there to Lift us all. Sometimes it seems that way.
So where was I? What a year!
And its election time.
Back on this Blogspot/Blogger site. This entry will probably be like many of my videos. Get a tripod Guy! So many people have said in exasperation with my spontaneous videos over the years. I come from where I am and I'll do my best in that moment.
Thank you Julio for the awesome website design for
www.LIFESIGNSPHOTO.com of last year. Which it seems I never could get a handle on. The journal function of that site proved (all my fault) to be too aggravating. I just couldn't figure it out. The whole web world passed me by in terms of technology.
Community Sovereignty. What does that mean?
I have been back in San Rafael since John Bowman's great annual Bluegrass event in his backyard. The Splinter Group was most memorable.
Working at the Community Media Center of Marin where I am typing from now trying to pick up the pieces of my video archives that might still get out on Community Access Public TV.
As I was saying it's been a really challenging year in so many ways. It's just Life and it's OK though I have been bouncing around from The East Coast to Marin to Oregon back to Marin and who knows where next. I have lost some great material, photos and videos of my East Coast stay as well as Oregon. It's hard to fathom how I could be so .. inept. Dealing with tendonitis, getting closer to being a player with my music but now maybe I should try to take some time off. Some psychic in the back seat of my cab said don't try to start anything this year just... 'Follow the Music'.
Here is the Bluegrass Jam up in Eugene.
This is a classic Guy Video with panning that gets lost, lowlight situations, audio less than high quality (Mic onstage please). I love it. PS Hey Mike or Jack this Bluegrass Jam takes place every Tuesday for at least 5 years now at Sam Bond's and the place is generally packed. Might be worth a try in Fairfax.
