Once upon a time back in 1971 for instance 85% of Republicans in a poll I found

in a 1971 Look Magazine Article supported the war in VietNam about 85% of Democrats

were opposed..

The Bush Jr years you could find that the Republican Party strongly supported the invasion of Iraq

and the War on Terror ....

Somehow over the last 20 years ' the security state',  FBI, CIA, Homeland Security... found a way to Secure

itself in it's power to find 'Enemies'. Finding enemies that threaten us ensures that the Security State

has a reason to exist. Now it's domestic terror. Extremists. 

I wasn't familiar with Mike Lee Republican Senator. I am not familiar with most Senators Republican or Democrat..

Somehow more and more lately it seems that Republicans even Fox news Have become the voice of

what was once the domain of the 'Doves' back in the 60's and 70's .. the voice of dissent against an 

'Establishment' that wants an end to 'discord'. Trust us they say.

Governor of California, Pass the torch ...

 I have begun a number of campaign kick-off speeches in my journals, with a number of approaches,
as to why I raise my hand and volunteer for the job. I have not completed the task of writing, the one.

 Life, Liberty and Happiness!
 Get the Broom!
 Protect what you love!
 Positive change (for a change)
 Pass the Torch!

 Pass the torch. The commandment that thousands of years of human life has been all about.
Because there are children. They are ours. The natural environment that is ours. We have a duty
to not give up to cynicism and a duty recognize the need of some fundamental shift in our
Civilization's direction. Not just seeing the need as in recognizing the present reality as being ...
unsustainable, but in seeing a path forward clearly available to us. 

  95 Million Barrels of Oil a day required for you and I to fuel our self destruction?
  A 25% increase needed in Green Energy sources if we were to transition our automobile
 driven lifestyles from Carbon burning to non-carbon.
 An Exxon Valdez spill every year in the amount of Crude Oil spilled in our Oceans by Sea transport
of goods.
 1000 Cargo containers a year topple into the sea.
 etc... 3,000 square miles a year in USA given up to development.

I can find more grim facts but let's leave that and admit that we are in a very real bind, until we stand up and acknowledge that this bind is no-good, then we are simply not doing our children good. 

 We can do this. The unpleasant anxiety that you and I everyone of us experience daily is partly because
we know that the change must come but we can't see how. Business as usual is not the path forward.
California 'Roaring Back'  as Governor Newsom optimistically declares sounds .... Blind to me. 

   A path creative, and responsive, bold and rebellious is needed. It can be done. It will be done.

  God knows!

  What I do know is .... my Health and Spirit needs reviving, as it does every day.
   
  Get rid of computers was number 6 on my to do list, today. The last of six items. 

  Instead I am sitting here with a possibly complicated post that reveals how deeply
dependent I am on this form of communication. I own two laptops one PC one Mac
they are both old. I do not want a brand new one. 

  My campaign for Governor of California has not officially started and I ponder if
this thought has been too much of a weight upon my spirit over the last couple of months.

  I am thinking No. There are other factors that are preparing me to step very lightly into
this 2021 with a streamlined methodology.

 Factors like dropping my little Lumix digital
35mm with excellent video capacity, unrepairable!

 Factors like this Health thing again. How
this pressure across my chest, that might be construed as some form of an anxiety side effect
ratchets up so decidedly after 30 minutes with my computer open. So much that I have decided
not to ignore it but to act upon it. That being don't open up the blessed computers...

Another Factor my rapidly diminishing bank account,
precarious!

Another factor my Music at Creek Park that brings me Joy and frustration...
I don't need any additional frustration... I am simply too loose, un-professional, musically
adrift etc... I can't quite pull it together as a Performer. Time to step back. This despite encouraging words from friends who think I may bring happiness to the scene, and 
might be creating enough positive waves to counter my flubs, wildness, lack of rhythm..
enough of that I say.

That's it for the time being In really wanted to do a post entitled fanning the Flames of Racism this from today's observation in the Mainstream Media knowing that there would be front page stories on any Newspaper in America finding Racism somewhere.
