Christmas Find

Christmas was pretty special and now the days roll into our New Year.

Tonight I have a bottle of Nyquil by my bed. Being sick is pretty miserable....

Who knows perhaps I might get some strange benefits from it all. I am willing to

be surprised in that regard.

What is the nature of your inner dialogue when you feel like you are being tortured...

Why me? That is pretty weak isn't it.

I have a ticket to get up to Oregon and visit family. I might put off departure until

I am back to feeling 'presentable' again.

I brought up John and Yoko and their Christmas Song.... even almost sang a line or two...

'Recognising the accessibility and popular appeal that made his 1971 single "Imagine" a commercial success compared to the other songs he had released up to that point, Lennon concluded, "Now I understand what you have to do: Put your political message across with a little honey."[13] He conceived "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" as a means of elaborating upon the themes of social unity and peaceful change enacted through personal accountability and empowerment that served as the basis of the earlier billboard campaign,[14][15][16] trying to convey optimism while avoiding the sentimentality that he felt often characterised Christmas songs.[17][18][19]    ...from Wikipedia

  So this is Christmas

And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
And so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young
A very Merry Christmas
And a happy new year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
And so this is Christmas
For weak and for strong
For rich and the poor ones
The world is so wrong
And so happy Christmas
For black and for white
For yellow and red one
Let's stop all the fight
A very Merry Christmas
And a happy new year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
And so this is Christmas
And what have we done
Another year over
A new one just begun
And so happy Christmas
We hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young
A very Merry Christmas
And a happy new year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
War is over, if you want it
War is over now
la, la, ah, ah
Happy Christmas
Happy Christmas (happy Christmas)
Happy Christmas (happy Christmas)

'Peaceful Change enacted through personal accountability and empowerment'

Many of us might say something at times that we felt didn't quite express ourselves very well but we tried or felt in the moment that what we were trying to express was valid but that maybe you/I have added a few more sentences to explain the full concept in a better way (for instance right now) ... in this 'blog'....

I think about Lennon and Yoko's song Imagine.... I think about my own song. My Life. I ponder a lot because of my father's singular mission to deliver a 'New World' a world, that like Lennon imagined a world where there was no countries. Right now coincidentally I am reading a biography of Christopher Columbus and his discovering on behalf of European Civilization. 'The New World'. I think a New World is fine to Imagine. I think it is waiting for and maybe approaching the proper gestation period though that birth is simply a mystery or my illusions.

By the time I was a teenager I had already decided that 'Nationalism' wasn't the enemy. As I watched the fans at the World Cup maybe Holland versus Brazil..... The colors that each side wore. What is this empathetic joy or identification with Us.... in the world of Sports 'Us vs Them'?

... and the World will live as one. Possible in many ways, maybe we are very very close to simply turning on the right circuit. 'Peaceful Change through personal accountability and empowerment'. The empowerment gained by 'fighting' enemies may simply not equal the empowerment gained from flipping an enemy so that, that will take us over the Barricades with our winning banner.
